Noah's Ear Surgery

My sweet Noah is going to have the surgery to repair the hole in his eardrum this Friday.  *sigh*  I'd be lying to say I'm not disappointed, but I also have peace that it is time to repair it.  His hearing tests are still showing some hearing loss in that ear, and the procedure could significantly help him hear better.  We have waited for it to heal, prayed for it to heal, but now it is time to seek healing in this form because it will help him.  I have to keep reminding myself that this is another step on his healing journey, this will complete any surgery he will need, hopefully forever.  It is hard sometimes, because I see him as so perfect just the way he is.  It is also hard because it brings back a lot of emotions that I have felt as we've taken steps on this road with him.  But one thing I know, God loves Noah, He will keep him safe, and there is nothing that seperates us from His peace, nothing.  Even though it is never easy to hand your child over to someone else to "fix" them, I know God is with Noah and guiding those surgeons in wisdom, and for that I am thankful.  I know He will help Jason and I to feel peace that surpasses all understanding.  I can see how God must feel when we face trials in this life, heartbroken, but always there, holding us in His embrace, saying "I love you and will never leave or forsake you.  You are mine."
